Jennae Phillippe earned her Masters of Science in Social Work (MSSW) from Columbia University School of Social Work (CSSW) in 2012. She holds post-graduate certificates in Grief Counseling and Treatment, Complex Trauma Treatment, and Understanding ADHD.
Jennae identifies as queer and has experience working with LGBTQ+ folks and folks exploring their orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. She also is sex positive and has experience working with folks in non-monogamous/polyamorous relationships. She is a longtime advocate of body acceptance as an essential tool for managing mental health. She is social-justice oriented and specializes in helping people in creative communities.
Jennae utilizes a relational approach to therapy, using the language of relationships to describe the various dynamics that impact people, including their relationships with grief, loss, and change.
